A Few Notes to Self

Thu Apr 30, 2009, 12:38 PM

*View and comment on the 8,248 Messages and 4,973 Deviations before inbox explodes.

*Offer art commissions, tell them to send notes if they're interested.

*Study further about that 3D program.

*Learn to paint faster (you better break the sound barrier while you draw before the end of this month)

*Some books you have are just begging to be read, start working on that.

*Stay away from evil piggies, they bear something terrible.
(alternatively, graft a mini-gun to arms in order to obliterate affected organisms)

Keep safe everyone.:)

2 days to go!

Watchmen will finally be shown in local theaters . Bad news for us Pinoys though, the narrow-minded protectors of morality a.k.a. the MTRCB slaps a PG-13 rating to the movie and you know too damn well what that means-expect some scenes to be missing.

Stupid bastards.:shakefist:

Hell I'd think they'd go as far as removing Dr. Manhattan's character ENTIRELY since he's naked in most of the scenes that he's in.
I guess I'd have to wait for the DVD release to enjoy it in its entirety.

On a different note, COMMISSIONS PEOPLE!!!
I'm now accepting art commissions, so if any if you are interested you can either send me a note or an email. Once I've confirmed your commission piece, I'll note you with the further details you need to know.

So here's the rundown

-Payment would be through Paypal-

FULL COLOUR,
1 character $25
2 characters $35
BXW
1 character $10
2 characters $15

Any style of rendering you prefer. Be it painterly, comic, cel-shade whatever. You want me to draw 2 stick figures in a bloody swordfight? No problem. Heck if you want it drawn in MSPaint, it will be done.

One last thing, anyone here seen the "supergroup" Tinted Windows?
Damn! I was expecting their music to be a bit heavier but what the f**k?
They sound like teenpop or something. Crazy.

CRT's are superior! +Modeling contest info

Well that is what I'm beginning to think
after this little problem I have with the LCD monitor on the computer I'm using.

Here's the thing, the colors of the artwork I make on the LCD becomes really dark when I view it on my CRT monitor. Does this have anything to do with the calibration of the LCD one? If so, can anyone here recommend any good calibration tool for LCD
monitors? My monitor is seriously messing up the colours on my works. It would be great if you can offer tips on how to adjust the colour settings of the monitor as well. (Gamma/brightness/contrast and all that)
I'll give :cookie:'s to anyone eager enough to help.:D

Devious Journal Entry

My Wacom biztablet tablet kicked the bucket shortly after I finished painting the Gordon Freeman piece. So for the time being, I wont be able to produce any digital painting stuff.

Hopefully, by the second or third week of June I'd be able to replace it and purchase a better one, probably a bamboo or the cheapest graphire/intuos or maybe even a Cintiq  but it'll likely take me a year or more to save up for that.

In the meantime I'd probably post some old character drafts and some quick sketches
from my sketchbook. Or maybe not. Summer here is over so it's back to school for me in a few days time. I'd be busy with academic stuff again so its likely that won't be able to submit stuff regularly.
